The process designed for the AR.lit service is the same used for the AR.throughput services. The main procedural difference is in the time allocated to each package. To deliver a status view of the package estate the LiT process allocates a maximum of 15 minutes per package. AmberReef will checkout each package, created during the AR.convert service, in turn and document the status of the package.
Each package will be launched on the customers target operating system. If the package passes both the “LiT Test” and “Function Test” it will be passed to the Acceptance Testing phase. If the Package fails either of these tests but can be remediated within the 15 minute window this will also be allocated to Acceptance Testing along with supporting documentation.
Packages that cannot be remediated will be allocated to their respective “phase” (Discovery, Analysis or Remediation) along with documented reasoning by the Packager for his allocation.
At the end of the AR.lit service AmberReef will present to the customer the status overview showing the number of packages in each phase and discuss the opportunities available to for the next steps.
